Cookie Policy

What are cookies?

Cookies are small text files that a website can store on your device via your browser. They are commonly used to make websites work, to remember settings, or to analyse how visitors behave. Comparable techniques include the browser’s local storage or tracking pixels.

In short: why you don’t see a cookie banner here

This website is built on a “privacy by design” principle. It sets no cookies that require consent – and in fact currently no cookies at all. There is no tracking, no advertising cookies and no sharing of your browsing behaviour with third parties. A cookie consent banner is therefore not legally required, and we deliberately do without one. You don’t have to click anything away when you open this site.

Which cookies we use

This website currently sets no cookies. So that you can still understand how we handle the topic, we explain the possible categories and our approach below.

Strictly necessary cookies

These are cookies without which a function you have explicitly requested cannot be provided. Such cookies are exempt from consent under Section 25(2) no. 2 TDDDG (German Digital Services Data Protection Act); the legal basis for any related processing is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest in the technically flawless provision of the service). We currently do not need any such cookies.

Functional and convenience cookies

We do not set cookies that, for example, store a language choice beyond your visit. This website’s language is controlled solely through the page address (/de or /en) and works without a cookie.

Statistics and reach measurement

To analyse the use of this website statistically, we use Umami – self-hosted, cookieless analytics software. Umami stores no cookies on your device, builds no cross-device profiles and passes no data to third parties or third countries. No consent is required for this.

Marketing and tracking cookies

We do not set cookies for advertising, retargeting or profiling purposes – neither our own nor those of third parties (such as social networks or ad networks).

Third-party cookies

We do not embed any services that set cookies on our website. External offerings – such as our appointment booking via Microsoft Bookings or our profiles on social networks – are merely linked. Only when you follow such a link do you reach the respective provider’s site, where their own privacy and cookie terms apply.

Local storage (local/session storage)

Besides cookies, websites can store data in the browser’s local storage. We do not use this to recognise or track you either. Purely technical, exclusively local storage serves only to display the page correctly and is not transmitted to us.

Server log files

Independently of cookies, the server automatically records technical access data (e.g. browser type, operating system, time, IP address) in log files when the website is accessed. This is necessary for secure operation and is described in more detail in our privacy policy. These log files are not cookies.

Legal basis

Storing information on your device and accessing it are governed by Section 25 TDDDG. This is exempt from consent only where the storage is strictly technically necessary. For anything beyond that, your consent under Section 25(1) TDDDG in conjunction with Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR would be required – which we do not have to obtain, as there are no consent-requiring cookies.

Managing and deleting cookies in your browser

Even though we set no cookies, you retain full control over the cookies stored on your device. In your browser settings you can delete cookies already set, restrict or entirely prevent new cookies, and have yourself warned before they are stored. You will find corresponding instructions in your browser’s help – for example for Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox, Microsoft Edge or Apple Safari. Please note that generally disabling cookies may limit the functionality of other websites.

Changes to this cookie policy

We update this cookie policy as soon as the technical or legal framework changes – for example if we were to use consent-requiring technologies in the future. In that case we would obtain your consent beforehand. The version published on this page applies.
